Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Yoga Teacher
Jenny has been working in the field of massage for over 10 years. She graduated from The Finger Lakes School of Massage in March of 2000. She has trained in array of different modalities including Thai Massage, Thai herbal massage, Reiki, Deep Tissue, Active Isolated Stretching, Raindrop Therapy and aromatherapy, hydrotherapy (scrubs, wraps) and hot stone massage. She has worked in many different environments including chiropractic offices, wellness centers and spas. Jenny has also had the opportunity to work with the Women's Olympic Rowing team and the NY Jets.
Massage Therapy has shaped Jenny's personal life to strive to live in harmony within her own body and mind. This is reflected in her love of exercise, the outdoors, nutrition, gardening, meditation, buddhism and Yoga, not to mention receiving massage too! By continuing to practice what she preaches she feels she can relate to clients, really listening to what their needs are and helping to facilitate a way of living that supports their goals through therapuetic massage. Massage therapy not only increases relaxation in the body and mind but it brings in a full sprectrum awareness of how to fully take care of ones wellbeing in all aspects of life. Jenny loves to pamper her clients, providing the space to let go. Their time on the table or mat is for them, the attention and awareness Jenny has is dedicated to the individual one at a time.
In 2007, Jenny participated in a yoga teacher training program in Asheville, NC at the Asheville Yoga Center with Stephanie Keach. She originally wasn't sure if teaching was the path to pursue but her desire to learn more about this ancient science drew her in. Yoga has been another passion like massage that influences her personal life to discover a way of living that supports overall balance and a sense of contentment. Since completing the 230 hour teacher training she has been continuing to take workshops in many different styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Anusara, Yin and Ashtanga Yoga. She feels most compelled by the philosophy of Buddhism through Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings. Her teaching encapulates a sense of earthliness and intuition. Jenny supports students to explore what is right for them, moment to moment just as she does in her daily life.
